Diversity, Equity and Inclusion of the Kivu Geoheritage Project

The Kivu Geoheritage Project is motivated by a commitment to have an impact through community development, environmental sustainability and the enhancement of natural heritage (geodiversity and biodiversity). Our activities involve people with different cultures, perceptions and knowledge. We believe that the diversity of cultures and local community’s knowledge are essential in the conservation of natural heritage. We are convinced that diversity constitutes a strength of the achievements of our mission and that collaboration is a key factor in the search for solutions to environmental problems. We honor individual contributions and dedication to the highest standards of achievement and honesty.

Respect and fairness are one of the key pillars of our value. We recognize and respect diversity in terms of race, sex, culture, religion or belief, ethnic or social origin, age, sexual orientation, marital status or other aspects of status staff. We promote fairness, empowerment, independent thinking and open participation. We treat our colleagues and partners with trust, respect, fairness, integrity and sharing of credit.

We are open to support, new ideas and innovative solutions for the enhancement of natural heritage that are based on scientific evidence regardless of race, religion, skin color, nationality, age, disability status, ancestry, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, marital status, family structure, mental health or any other characteristic of their promoters.
